Planning for treatment.
Beginning eating disorder treatment often comes with practical questions about fees, insurance, and the course of treatment. We hope the information below answers many of those questions, and we're always happy to discuss any additional questions during your consultation.
Length of treatment
Many evidence based treatment protocols involve approximately 20 to 40 sessions over 20 to 40 weeks, though treatment length varies based on diagnosis, symptom severity, progress, and individual goals.
Insurance coverage
Columbus Park is a private pay practice and does not participate with insurance plans. We provide detailed superbills that many patients submit for possible out of network reimbursement.
Session frequency
Adults often begin with twice weekly sessions before transitioning to weekly sessions. Family Based Treatment generally includes weekly family sessions, with additional support when needed.
Session fees
Therapy session fees generally range from $325 to $375, depending on the type of service and session length. Fees for appointments with Melissa Gerson, LCSW, Clinical Director, are available upon request.
Treatment Structure
Care is individualized. We do not require treatment packages or long term commitments. Progress is reviewed regularly, and recommendations are adjusted as needed.
Complimentary consultation
We offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to answer questions, discuss treatment, and determine whether Columbus Park is the right fit.
