About me

My intensive training in behavioral therapies began with a fellowship in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Training Program at Columbia University’s School of Social Work (CSSW). There, I studied under Dr. Andre Ivanoff, President of Behavioral Tech, and completed Intensive DBT training with Behavioral Tech trainers Randy Wolbert and Gwen Abney-Cunningham.

Early in my career, I worked with survivors of domestic violence at Seamen’s Society for Children and Families in Staten Island, NY. This experience provided a strong foundation in treating a wide range of conditions, including trauma, eating disorders, emotion dysregulation, and suicidality. I continued to deepen my work in trauma treatment, a particular area of interest, at the Victim Services Unit at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. In outpatient practice at Park Avenue Psychotherapy, I worked with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship and intimacy challenges, and trauma, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and DBT. As a Primary Therapist at Columbus Park, I focus on my core areas of interest: eating disorders, emotion regulation, and trauma.

Over the years, I have completed advanced training in a number of specialty modalities, including Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E), DBT for Eating Disorders (DBT-ED), Family-Based Treatment, DBT Solution for Emotional Eating, CBT-ARFID, DBT for Adolescents, and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management for severe and enduring anorexia nervosa. I also completed Intensive Training in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Prolonged Exposure Protocol for PTSD with Melanie Harned, PhD, ABPP, and Lorie Ritschel, PhD.

I believe that effective therapy involves creating a safe, supportive, and validating environment while using evidence-based treatments grounded in research. I work collaboratively with clients to build skills, increase motivation, and help them access their strengths and capacity for change.
