Mackenzie Fauser, LMSW

I am a licensed master social worker and therapist at Columbus Park. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and completed my bachelor’s degree at Barnard College.

My clinical experience includes work in outpatient substance use treatment across higher levels of care, including PHP and IOP, as well as providing individual psychotherapy in a private practice setting. I have worked with adult clients in both in person and virtual formats. This range of experience informs my thoughtful and grounded approach to treating complex, co occurring mental health concerns.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing eating disorders, substance use concerns, and related mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I also support individuals navigating relational dependency, perfectionism, and identity development challenges. I work within Columbus Park’s evidence based eating disorder treatment framework, benefiting from specialized training in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), closely mentored by our Clinical Director, Melissa Gerson, LCSW.

My clinical approach is integrative and relational, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt therapy, and mindfulness based interventions. I work collaboratively with clients to identify patterns that interfere with recovery and values based living, while offering structure, curiosity, and emotional attunement.

I bring warmth, authenticity, and steady presence to my work. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals whose struggles with eating, substance use, or emotional regulation have disrupted identity formation or a sense of agency, and I help clients move toward a more connected, self directed life.
