About me

After many years in the field, I’ve had the opportunity to treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions in settings spanning private outpatient facilities to large hospitals. I’ve been trained and mentored by major leaders in the field of behavioral health (Dr. Milton Brown and Lucene Wisniewski among others) giving me advanced skills and confidence to treat the full scope of psychiatric concerns in individuals across the life span.  My passions lie in the area of eating disorders and common co-morbidities including a range of anxiety conditions (OCD is a special interest of mine), depressive disorders, borderline personality disorder, and trauma.  At Columbus Park, I lead our parent coaching practice and have trained a number of my colleagues in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Kazdin Method techniques for maximizing parental capabilities and empowerment.  As a Primary Therapist and also the Associate Clinical Director of Columbus Park I have a dual role as an active therapist and a clinical lead in the area of program development and clinician supervision and training.

I’m committed to delivering treatment grounded in science and backed by research.  My evidence-based repertory includes Family-Based Treatment for childhood/adolescent eating disorders, Enhanced CBT transdiagnostic model for eating disorders, Dialectical Behavior Therapy for both adults and adolescents, Prolonged Exposure DBT, CBT for OCD and Generalized Anxiety, CBT for ARFID, DBT Solution for Emotional Eating, Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) for Severe Anorexia and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Among the formal training programs I’m most proud of completing include Advanced DBT through Behavioral Tech, DBT-Prolonged Exposure protocol with Dr. Melanie Harned, and Basic and Advanced Parent Management Training through the PMT Institute.
