Teens with eating disorders should not be treated in the same way as adult patients—there are clinically proven therapies that are designed specifically for younger patients.
Teens operate within an environment that can be modified and enhanced to support recovery. Parents/caregivers benefit from evidence-based education and bolstering so they may be involved in and supportive of their child’s full recovery.
Columbus Park offers different treatment tracks for teens and children, based on each individuals’ unique needs.
As a parent/caregiver, you're probably scared for your teen.
You may be anxious for a time when your teen was happier in their day-to-day. Their skipping meals and/or only eating small portions scares you. Their vigilance in regard to sugar and fats in foods, and/or excessive exercise, feels unhealthy to you. Their self-critical comments about their weight sadden you.
Please know that we are here for you and will provide you with evidence-based tools to help your teen heal and reach full recovery. We’ve helped thousands of patients over two decades of practice. We deliver therapies with nuance and skill to meet the unique needs of every individual client.
At Columbus Park, we are clinical experts in treating teens.
